La Marque Downtown Streetscape Urban Plan – La Marque, TX

La Marque Economic Development Corporation’s streetscape project is designed to revitalize their downtown Renaissance District.  The intent was to  make downtown an economic driver for the city as well as a more pedestrian friendly gathering space.   The urban and building designs reflect a historic coherence that provides a way station for existing residents, new visitors as well as potential business opportunities. The façade redesign of the existing EDC – Permit office and 1st and Laurel Building demonstrate the historic culture and vernacular of the people and the area.
